The Harry Stephen Keeler Society is simply a group of individuals who not only have heard of Keeler, but actually like him. We find his stuff fascinating--even, and especially, at its most peculiar. Since our inception in January 1997, we've grown to some 75 members in half a dozen countries. Together, we're maintaining the memory of a man whose tangled dreams are part of the American heritage--whether America knows it or not!

We keep in touch through Keeler News, which features articles, reviews, letters, Keeler novels for sale, and more. Four issues of Keeler News are published per year, with around 16 pages per issue. Back issues of Keeler News are available online in PDF format.

A subscription to Keeler News on paper costs $12/year for North America, $16/year elsewhere, and is renewable at the beginning of each calendar year. An electronic subscription to Keeler News is $4/year, worldwide (or is included on request with a paper subscription); with this option, you can download a PDF version of each issue as it is published. (An electronic subscription is free on request when subscribing to the paper version.)

Mail payments to the editor of Keeler News, Richard Polt, at 4745 Winton Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45232, USA. Send checks drawn on a U.S. bank and made out to Richard Polt, money orders, or cash.

You can also pay online using PayPal; send your payment to polt@xavier.edu by clicking on the image at left.

Let me know your street address and e-mail; I'll send you any issues of Keeler News that have appeared so far this year, and add you to the mailing list for the rest of the calendar year.

Other items available from the Society (prices include postage and should be paid to Richard Polt as explained above):
  • Postcards with Keeler's portrait and his signature in red: $1 per 10 postcards (North America) / $2 per 10 postcards (elsewhere). But if you join the Society, you can have as many postcards as you want for free!
  • On Webwork: a fascinating collection of articles by HSK and others on techniques of webwork plotting: $10 (North America) / $15 (elsewhere).
  • "Keeler Year By Year": a complete bibliography of HSK's short stories and novels, published and unpublished, by Francis M. Nevins: $2 (North America) / $3 (elsewhere). PDF version e-mailed for free.
